Alpha Chi Omega, Kappa Sigma & Phi Beta Sigma

We also took part in the Biggest Fan on Campus Competition. Kelly Shemansky & Nicole Chmura submitted a video and performed on Thursday night at SpearIt Night!

 We had a Nerds vs. Jocks social with our Kappa Sigma Homecoming partners on Wednesday night at Red Rocks - SO MUCH FUN!

 We have been working SO hard on our float for this year with the FSU Circus theme! So proud of how it turned out :)

FSU PARENT'S WEEKEND 2012

This weekend was a great success! It was an absolute pleasure having Alpha Chi families come to visit the house and enjoy all that FSU has to offer. 

 Alpha Chi hosted a happy hour for the parents to mix and mingle at the Four Points Sheraton on Friday. For gameday on Saturday, we hosted a BBQ at the house - GO NOLES! On Sunday, we had the parents come to the house for brunch and a Sorority Spirit Trunk show.

RITUAL MOMENT

by Kerstein “KP” Perez (Iota Phi Chapter) “Words get in the way.” I’ve caught that line in different songs by artists ranging from Jewel, to Trace Adkins to Gloria Estefan. I even remember it in an episode of “Gossip Girl.” I’m sure I’ve seen it in a book. You’re wondering how this lyric, quote, or saying relates to ritual. Well, sometimes words do get in the way – especially the wrong words! Let’s focus on making sure we’re using proper terminology so the incorrect words don’t get in the way of progress. It’s important that we’re in the know so we can support and correct the conversation, especially since many collegiate chapters are in the midst of recruitment season. Here’s a handy chart to help remember which words pave the way (right) and which words get in the way (left).
