with the purchase of a brick on Beta Eta's front walkway
Why the Brick walkway
The walkway project was initially started in Summer 2002, as Angels on the Rise- building fund drive. The project was intended to raise funds to support chapter needs during the renovation of the chapter house. The project was moved to the back burner in 2003 as other larger portions of the renovation took front stage. Now the house is in tip-top shape and ready for the extra polish a brick pathway will provide. All monies raised by the project will benefit the Beta Eta Love and Loyalty Endowment Fund. Today we are asking you to buy a brick!! These bricks will be used in a special walkway, so that in the years to come you will be able to bring your children and grandchildren to the “walkway” to see your name, and share with them your memories at Beta Eta.
What is the Beta Eta Love and Loyalty Fund
The Alpha Chi Omega Foundation has asked a small number of chapters to test the waters for individual chapter endowed funds, and Beta Eta is one of the select chapters chosen to lead the effort. This is really good news because an endowed fund to solely benefit Beta Eta will enhance the chapter’s success, not only now but into the future. Through the work of a committee comprised of Beta Etas from different eras, an endowed fund, called the Beta Eta Love & Loyalty Fund, has been established with the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation. The goal is to raise $30,000 over the next three years. The collegiate chapter is enthusiastically on board and has pledged to contribute 1/3 of the total or $10,000, leaving $20,000 to be raised from alumnae. As with all endowed funds, money donated will never be spent but will be kept on account and put to work earning investment dollars. That earned income will provide an annual grant that can be used for any educational or charitable activity which benefits the chapter’s well-being. Each year, Beta Eta Chapter will decide on the best way to apply the grant to meet current chapter needs. Brick details
Bricks are 4 x 8’x 2 ¼ . The bricks are engraved using state of the art laser technology. This will insure strength and durability for many years to come. Bricks are $125.
Deadlines/Install
We have completed 4 phases on the walkway. This will be an on-going campaign. Orders will be accepted throughout the year, but can only be processed in lots of 25 or more bricks. The goal is to do an install every other year, if not every year when possible. When we receive a form & payment we will notify you. When bricks are installed we will send a photo to the email address provided on the form.
