2016 New Member Retreat

This past weekend, the New Member class left Tallahassee for a quick getaway in Panama City Beach. Their retreat was two nights of fun, bonding and learning more about Alpha Chi Omega.
With a new member class of 92 women, the retreat was an easy way to get connected to one another while also soaking up the sun on the beach of PCB!

Michelle Moore- SiriusXM Brand Ambassador

Michelle Moore is currently serving as a SiriusXM Brand Ambassador! She just recently helped launch a new campaign on the Florida State University campus, structured with specific marketing assignments and weekly objectives.
"I have organized driving free SiriusXM trial signups and building awareness on campus through peer-to-peer conversations, events, social media posts, email campaigns, and social outreach. I also participate in on and off campus events and promotional opportunities to build brand affinity, as well as circulating marketing materials and promotional items. I love this position because it is amazing to have the opportunity to contribute to content development and data collection relevant to the Florida State campus and SiriusXM services!"

New Member Ice Cream Social!

Last week, our New Members got together with NM15  for an ice cream social!
Alë Gonzalez planned the event for the new members to get to know more sisters. The event consisted of an ice cream and topping bar as well as a funny slideshow in which sisters got to show off their goofy sides and open up about what they like to do in their free time.
Overall, the event was a lot of fun and a great way for our Chapter to bond!

Shannon Nichols- VP of the Student Academy of Audiology

Shannon Nichols is the Vice President of the Student Academy of Audiology, a club that encourages awareness about the field of audiology and offers opportunities to volunteer and gain experience.
"As VP, I will be assisting the President in organizing events such as free hearing screenings, our annual kickball tournament, and other fundraising events for our club. A huge event that I am excited to begin fundraising for is our spring trip to Guatemala, where we will treat hearing loss of locals and provide technology they need to communicate better. We will also be building homes, donating lots of supplies, and helping to put as many kids as we can afford through school.
"I became VP because I'm extremely passionate about audiology, my future career field, due to personal experience with hearing loss. I understand the importance of communication for social, educational, and emotional wellbeing, so I really want to spread awareness about hearing loss prevention and treatment in order to help others. I want to leave a positive impact on the community and help build SAA to be the best it can be."
