Parade Viewing: We met  to view the Homecoming parade and cheer on our Alpha Chi Omega sisters!  Lanny Skelly ('58) was featured in the parade to mark her 50th anniversary at FSU as a majorette!  The collegiate members of Alpha Chi Omega were paired with gentlemen of Phi Delta Theta for Homecoming season and we cheered them on as their float passed.

"Tour n' Talk": We greeted alumnae and their families at the Beta Eta house immediately following the parade for house tours and more information about Xi Omega Xi. Women came from five different decades and we all shared stories and laughs about our memories at 518 West Park Avenue.

We were all in awe about how beautiful the house is and all the upgrades they enjoy, including a kitchenette, renovated restrooms on the lower level, hard wood floors, gorgeous dining room furniture, which features lyre carved chairs, expanded laundry area and study room, and lighted award cases filled with our successes throughout the years. The walls of the TV room on the second level are filled with black and white pictures of the house and women of AX from many decades ago. Traditions still remain throughout the house such as composites, paddles, and roommate boards outside the bedrooms. Once you walk out onto the second level sun deck and balcony, memories come pouring back.

Decades Waltz: A group of mainly 90’s Alpha Chis stormed Tennessee Street for our "Waltz". We started at Bullwinkles with VIP access, popped into Lower Lounge, Ken’s, Red Rocks, Yiannis, and concluded the evening at Bullwinkles again. Some women even enjoyed Gumby’s Pokey Stix at the end of the night to really bring back the yummy old memories.

SATURDAY: Game Day!

Over 20 alumnae and guests met at the Palace parking lot for the Xi Omega Xi tailgate complete with drinks, full buffet of snacks, customized cups, all under a Seminole tent. We spent the afternoon in our XOX t-shirts reminiscing about “old times”, chanting AXO songs, and making new friends with Beta Etas through the pledge classes. We walked to Doak Campbell Stadium and sat together in a block to watch the Seminoles play UNC. Although the game didn’t have the ideal ending, we have a great time cheering on our Noles.

SUNDAY: Remember When?

The weekend ended on Sunday morning when we all gathered for the last time at the house for a full brunch buffet hosted by the collegiate women and Mom Marie. Mom and the staff did an amazing job preparing a full bounty of treats to make the alumnae women jealous of the collegians and how pampered they must be! The dinner bell rang and we all sat at attention as once trained many years ago prepared for the coming announcement. It’s amazing how quickly it all comes back. We raffled off a Faith.Hope.Love necklace to attendees to raise money for the Beta Eta Love and Loyalty Fund. Shannon Falzone from Orlando, Florida ('00) was the lucky winner! We also encouraged all attendees to enter into a drawing for a free membership to Xi Omega Xi and the newest member of our chapter is Danielle Dorman ('03) from Atlanta, Georgia!
