A Night at the Oscars

Our sister Jessica Gehring had the incredible opportunity to attend the Academy Awards this past weekend!

“I went because my brother is in the film industry, and it is a good way to see and meet people within his industry. It was an amazing experience. Everyone at the event was extremely nice and easy to talk to. Most people going to the events are either in the film industry or trying to make it in the film industry. I was really nervous before going not because there were famous people, but because I wanted to look my best because they always seem to look their best. After going I have to say that famous people may seemed intimidating in the beginning, but in the end they are people who love and excel in their profession.”

Dance Marathon at FSU

AXO's with Chi Phi and Phi Gam!

This past weekend, the ladies of Alpha Chi participated in FSU’s 21^st Dance Marathon! We were paired with Chi Phi and Phi Gam. Sixty-eight girls participated as dancers, 9 were captains, 2 were core members. Brittney Rangel, our chapter delegate, did an amazing job and helped our team raise $43,503!

“I have never worked harder or longer than I did as delegate for the past 7 months. But there is no greater reward than seeing these kids tell their stories every hour on the hour, knowing I helped our team raise money to keep them alive. As the late nights, the meetings, the deadlines came to an end, I couldn't help but smile. We made miracles, we made 43,503 miracles--a legacy each and everyone one of us left this year, and next year we're going to do it all over again.”
