Lacy Scherer is currently in Australia working with International Student Volunteers!
"This month I am working with a group, International Student Volunteers (ISV), which is a group for students that gives them the opportunity to both learn more about the environment and explore the world. I just got finished volunteering for 2 weeks in Newcastle, Australia, where we worked on 2 different projects. The first was working in the Hunter Wetlands National Park, where we were cleaning and doing outdoor work in efforts to help the flow of migratory birds. The second project was trail building in Alynbrook, which is in the mountains!
"During volunteering, we also have plenty of free time, where we get to explore the town and hangout in the city. The second two weeks, which I am just now starting, is the adventure tour, where all 26 of us volunteers throughout Australia get together and are traveling up the east coast of Australia. We hit many major spots, such as going to the opera house, surfing in Byron bay, going to the Great Barrier Reef, rappelling down mountains, scuba diving, etc. We have an activity for almost everyday we are here!"

Abroad in Florence, Italy! #FSUAXOSummer
Michelle Moore is currently studying abroad in Florence, Italy with FSU's Broad Curriculum program!
Michelle says, "I've always wanted to study abroad especially in Italy. I decided to go for 6 weeks this summer and I didn't know anyone else in my program. I ended up loving both of my roommates and everyone I've met so far. I've been to Fiesole, Siena, Bologna and Pisa. This weekend I'm going to Rome and I've booked trips to Croatia, Lake Como, Switzerland, Milan, Cinque Terre, and Amalfi Coast. The food is amazing and I'm going to be really upset when I have to go back to eating American food because I've had pasta and gelato everyday. I'm taking 2 classes and they're both a lot more interesting than I expected because we get to wander around Florence and learn about culture, rather than just sitting in a classroom for 3 hours. I still can't believe I'm here and every single place I've visited so far is breathtaking."

Kayna- FSU Cheerleader!
Congrats to Kayna Mogelnicki on becoming an FSU Cheerleader!
"I've been participating in cheerleading for about 5 years and it's a passion of mine. I love the teamwork and dedication. This past year I coached cheerleading at a small gym in Tallahassee, and my friends, family and co-workers encouraged me to try out for Florida Sate. The process was three days long, with cuts within every round. Finally, making the team and being able to put on that uniform made me feel like all of my hard work paid off."
We can't wait to see you on the field this year, Kayna!
